Unclogging Your Shower Drain
Showers are great, but finding water pooling around your feet isn’t fun. If you’ve got standing or slow draining water in your shower, it’s time to unclog that drain so you can get everything back to normal fast.
Use Your Fingers
Put on a pair of gloves, dig around in your drain, and pull up anything you can find. Sometimes, hair clogs collect within each reach. If you can pull these out, you may not have to do any more work on your drain.
Plunge it Up!
Use a toilet plunger to try and remove the clog or pull it up high enough that you can get it out with your fingers or a wire coat hanger. You may need to plunge for a few minutes before you see results.
Go All Natural
Grab some baking soda, vinegar, and hot (not boiling) water. Put about a cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by a cup of vinegar. Let things bubble for a few minutes, then pour as much hot water as you have down the drain. Leave it for an hour or two, then see if the drain works better.
