Spring is in the air! That can be such an exciting time because winter gets to be such a drag after a while. If you’re feeling the spring cleaning bug, here are a few home improvement tasks you can add to your list to make sure your house is ready for the summer.
Service Your A/C
Make sure that your air conditioner is ready for the first heat wave when you get it serviced now. We’ll inspect the system visually, clean out any dust and debris that has gathered on it, and test each component. If we find anything that’s not working well, we’ll get it fixed for you before summer comes.
Clean Out Your Gutters
Winter storms can leave your gutters full of leaves, dirt, and other debris. Get them cleaned out now before the spring rains come. That way, you won’t have to worry about water collecting on your roof or in inappropriate places around your home.
Sanitize Your Garbage Disposal
If you haven’t done much maintenance on your garbage disposal, now is the time to start. Pour ½ cup of baking soda into the disposal, then add ½ cup of vinegar. Cover the disposal with the sink stopper and let it fizz inside for a few minutes. Then flush the disposal completely with hot water. This should clean out all the gunk that can collect in your disposal.
