Did you know that there are more plumbing problems during the holiday season than at any other time of the year? There are a number of reasons for this. Most of them have to do with either the colder weather that often comes over the holidays or because there are more people in your house than there normally are. Here’s what you need to know to protect your plumbing this season.
Watch the Garbage Disposal
With so many cooks in the kitchen and so many dishes on the stove, it’s no wonder the garbage disposal sees more use during the holidays than at other times of year. Make sure that it keeps working by throwing away most food scraps, including coffee grounds, banana peels, and egg shells.
Keep an Eye On Your Water Heater
Your water heater may have to work harder in the winter because it’s so cold outside. Monitor it to make sure it’s working the way it’s supposed to. You may also want to buy an insulating cover at your hardware store. This will help keep the water warm so it doesn’t have to work as hard.
Check the Toilets
Make sure guests are flushing the toilets consistently. If you have any that clog regularly, ask guests to limit the amount of toilet paper they use and to not flush feminine products.

Just bought my house literally a week ago and have already met 3 of your wonderful technicians (2 heating and 1 plumbing). They are polite and personable, and I feel like I can trust that they are doing what is best for my home… not just for the company’s bank account. That is difficult to find in any type of Service Company. Thank you!
Josh was wonderful. We just bought a house that needs a lot of work, and the heating systems were no exception. He looked everything over and gave me several options for the amount of work that needs to be done. I felt he was honest and sincere in his diagnosis of my many issues, and in trying to figure out the best options, while still remaining economical. He was very polite and personable as well. Thanks Josh!
“Thank you so much to everyone from Larry and Sons. Everyone I deal with on the phone is always great; Amy-Jo and Heather are always so nice. I called in with a broken water line emergency; Rich came out quickly and got me a temporary water line set
